Kelsea Central Holds Annual Birthday Fundraiser to Honor Ballerini and Her Dog Dibs’ Special Bond

Nashville’s dogs deserve to be safe, loved, and have access to top-notch veterinary care. To make that happen, Kelsea Ballerini’s most ardent fans–known as Kelsea Central on social media–are establishing the “Dibs Forever Home Fund” at Pet Community Center (PCC) in Nashville, as part of their annual philanthropic initiative to celebrate Ballerini’s birthday on Friday, Sept. 12. The fund will ensure dogs of all ages, whose families are facing financial hardship, receive high-quality veterinary care.
Each year, Kelsea Central hosts a fundraising event to celebrate Ballerini’s birthday and to support causes dear to her heart. Given her loving bond with Dibs and his recent cancer diagnosis, the group decided to establish the Dibs Forever Home Fund as a tribute to Dibs’ resilience and to make sure every dog needing veterinary care can get the care they deserve and their families want to provide. Thanks to a generous donor, all contributions up to $10,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
“Our love for Dibs is as strong as Kelsea’s, and we know how special the bond is between a dog and their family,” said Jenna Starosta, co-founder of Kelsea Central. “We wanted this year’s birthday fundraiser to be a tribute to both Kelsea and Dibs, so establishing this fund at Pet Community Center, a nonprofit organization we’ve used for our own pets, seemed like the perfect opportunity to honor their friendship and spread love to every deserving dog in our community.”
PCC is Nashville's only nonprofit veterinary clinic that operates out of the Phran Galante Center for Pet Wellness, providing high-quality/high-volume (HQHV) spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and outreach services for families living in underserved communities. Each year, the clinic provides affordable care to more than 15,000 dogs and cats, with all services offered on a sliding scale so that financial hardship isn’t a barrier to care.
When dog owners struggling financially bring their pets to PCC, the Dibs Forever Home Fund will cover the cost of any services needed, which could include anything from annual vaccinations, microchips, heartworm tests, monthly prevention, and spay/neuter surgery. Giving all dogs access to preventive veterinary care not only improves their overall health, but also reduces the risks of more advanced diseases or conditions that could be more expensive to treat.

The Dibs Forever Home Fund will protect the health of dogs receiving services, as well as give them a chance at a happier, healthier life with the family who loves them. “At PCC, we believe pets are family, and we are honored that Kelsea Central chose to establish this fund for Kelsea and Dibs at our clinic,” said Brandon Dyce, president/CEO of PCC. “Last year, we provided over $430,000 in free veterinary care to dogs and cats in our community, so the Dibs Forever Home Fund will only make it possible for more dogs–and more families–to have access to lifesaving care, which is remarkable and a testament to the generosity of Kelsea’s fans.”
Contributions to the Dibs Forever Home Fund can be made online at http://dibsforeverhomefund.com/, and Kelsea Central will be actively raising funds through Thursday, Oct. 9, which is the date of PCC’s annual gala, “Fur Ball.” Donations are tax deductible and will cover the cost of care for dogs whose families demonstrate financial need when visiting PCC for veterinary care.
About Pet Community Center
We want every pet to receive the high-quality veterinary care they deserve, so providing affordable, accessible care is the key to our success. Pet Community Center (PCC) operates The Phran Galante Center for Pet Wellness—a high-quality/high-volume (HQHV) spay/neuter and vaccine clinic in Nashville, Tennessee, run by highly skilled veterinarians, clinicians and nonprofit professionals. PCC ensures that financial ability never affects a pet’s access to care, so services are provided on a sliding scale. As of 2025, PCC has served nearly 150,000 animals.
Additionally, PCC is tackling barriers to veterinary care and provides outreach and support to pet owners who live in veterinary care deserts. The results of PCC’s work include lower pet homelessness rates, lower shelter euthanasia rates, and improved public health and quality of life in neighborhoods across Davidson County.

At one point in development, I realized something crucial was missing from my game. Animals turned out to be exactly what the game needed to truly come to life. From the very first moments, I wanted players to feel an emotional connection to the world on the screen, not just observe it. Collaborating with VSQUAD Studio was such a turning point. They didn’t treat animals as simple decorative assets scattered around the environment. Their approach went much deeper. Each creature was carefully designed and meaningfully integrated into both the gameplay and the atmosphere of the world. Animals bring warmth, instinct, and unpredictability—qualities that no static prop or background detail could ever replicate. They introduce authenticity. They breathe.
